A brief introduction
I am based in the Bath office and manage a portfolio of clients, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses, covering a wide range of sectors. I believe my primary role is to support my clients and understand their needs, to enable me to offer personal and tailored advice; which is not only tax efficient but also practical.
After leaving university, with an honours degree in economics, I joined a London based firm; where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. During my 12 years in London I built up my experience and worked closely with a variety of clients. Being at a small firm gave me invaluable exposure and experience of all areas of bookkeeping, payroll, management accounting, accounting & tax compliance and tax planning. By providing all the services to clients I felt I really understood their business and was able to provide a bespoke service to each one. I subsequently became a Fellow in 2013.
Having grown up in the west country I returned in 2013, with a young family in tow, and joined MHA Monahans in the autumn of that year as Martin Longmore’s assistant. My role at MHA Monahans has developed over the years, however I continue to work closely with Martin to offer a client-focused service to all our clients.
