A brief introduction
I have a wide range of knowledge and skills, which has given me an added advantage when it comes to advising clients, as I can consider all aspects of their affairs, personal and business. Looking at the whole picture is one of my main strengths.
As a French National, I am well equipped to assist any of our clients if they need help dealing with the French tax authorities. I have even, in the past, helped clients book a hotel or have translated some legal and/or official document for them.
I began my accountancy training in 1990 as an accounts assistant, and became a member of the AAT after passing my final exams in 1992.
I quickly realised that my skills were better suited to taxation rather than auditing and accounts preparation, so I went on to study for the ATT qualifications which I obtained in November 1991. I continued with my tax training by taking and passing the Institute of Taxation exams in June 2001, while working full-time and bring up my three sons on my own.
My experience in accounts preparation and audit has not been wasted. I have also spent some of my work life dealing with VAT, Payroll and P11D, Corporation Tax, IHT, Trusts compliance and advisory work.
I have been living in the UK since January 1979. While I remain 100% French at heart, the UK has become my home. This is also where my children and grandchildren live.
In my spare time, I love watching movies, reading, and I go to the gym. I also love to travel and Crete is one of my favourite places to go to on holiday.
Above all else, I love spending time with my family and visiting friends, sharing a bottle of champagne as often as I can.
