Valuations
These are mostly for companies but sometimes for unincorporated businesses or other entities.
Case Study - Share Valuation
An unusual example was valuing a share in a one hundred year old Trust worth $24 million.
The original investments within the Trust had been set up when a British citizen emigrated to America over 100 years ago.
He set up a business over there and put his shares in the Trust.
The company subsequently became very successful. The valuation was of a part share of the $24 million held by one of the ageing beneficiaries.
This included discounting back the inheritance of the interest in the Trust of the ageing beneficiary on their expected death.
