Charity Activity

Each year Monahans selects a charity to support and money is raised throughout the year via a wide range of quizzes, challenges and other events.

Monahans have supported many charites in the past including Macmillan Cancer Care, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

2009 was the 20th anniversary of our fundraising activities and to celebrate, we hoped to raise £10,000 to be split between three local hospices.

• Dorothy House near Bath
• Prospect Hospice in Swindon
• St Margaret's Hospice in Taunton and Yeovil

We can now announce that after a year of fundraising including bike rides, walking, swimming, running and staff quizzes to name but a few activities, the grand total raised was £12,600 which has smashed our original target.  This means that each charity received a whopping £4,200.

Representatives from Prospect Hospice joined us at our annual staff quiz on 11th March where they gratefully received their cheque.

In 2010 we will are raising vital funds for childrens charities.  We will keep you posted of our progress.
