In the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, what steps should you be taking?

Independent review of building regulations

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the government has announced an independent review of building regulations and fire safety. Serious questions have been raised about the effectiveness and clarity of the current regulatory system.

What does this mean to your business?

You should now review what process and procedures you have for fire prevention. Do you have a fire risk assessment? Firefighting equipment? Are systems tested? Are staff trained to use equipment or evacuate? Have you completed any proposed H&S fire recommendations?

If these are not in place, your business will be vulnerable and you need to take urgent steps to start complying with fire regulations.

MHA Monahans can help you to put processes in place, as we will be reviewing closely the recommendations from the Government report when published.

To discuss this or anything else please contact Debbie Anstis on 01793 818300 or send her an email.
